The Boring Company's Vegas Loop is Growing

The Boring Company has received approval from Clark County Commissioners to expand its Vegas Loop.

According to TechCrunch, the expansion was OK’d after The Boring Company confirmed it would fund the project without any taxpayer money.

As the report points out, the Vegas Loop was proposed in 2021 as a 29-mile-long series of tunnels with 51 stations.

The expansion will take those totals up to 65 miles and 69 total stations, according to The Boring Company.

The Loop’s previously approved tunnels and stations focused mostly on the Las Vegas Strip.

The expansion will take the tunnels further off the Strip, out to UNLV and past the airport.

The expansion plans come after the Vegas Loop last year opened its first passenger station and The Boring Company raised $675 million for continued operations.
